• Develop policies to represent dentists working in every sphere, from high street general practices, through community and hospital settings, to universities and elsewhere.
• To get the best for its members, both in terms of practical help through services and products and play a role in the development of healthcare policy.
• Providing its members with legal and safety and educational advice.
• Try to influence matters in the interest of the dental professionals – that of promoting the interests of its members, advancing the science, arts and ethics of dentistry and improving the nation's oral and general health.
• Provide expert advice to its members in the course of delivery of their professional duties on scientific, educational, current health and sciences issues etc. as well as on rules and regulations governing the practice of dentistry in the Sultanate.
• Work towards strengthening Scientific & Technical ties with Specialists in Oman, Regionally & Internationally.
• Networking between members & strengthening professional relationships.
